Change design when opening WinGUI in EP

<b>Hi @all,</b>

we're currently implementing several transactions

within the portal, but our users reclaim that this

still looks like the <i>native R/3 GUI</i>.

Yes, of course this is the WinGUI, but is it possible

to change the design of the GUI when it's started

through the Portal to '<b>New visual Design - Streamline</b>'?

Any answer would be very helpful.

Greetings,

Mike

Hi,

which version of the ITS are you running?

The ITS <= 4.6D does not have the SAP Streamline UI.

ITS < 6.20 should display the SAP Streamline from out of the bix except when you have an older backend system.

The design itself can't be set by a standard parameter in the iView.

But maybe you are lucky with playing around with the ~theme parameter in the application parameter field.

Michael

Hello Michael,

I know that this is possible using the WebGUI, but mine and Mike's question was is it possible in the WebGUI which is the local installed SAP GUI.

Hi Gregor,

sorry, mixed it up.... concentration, Michael

The theme in WinGUI is either dependant on the setting in the backend or can be set by the user itself - check the green/red/blue monitor symbol in the SAPGui window >> New Visual Design >> Active Theme.

I am quite sure that this setting can not be overwritten by the portal as it is set in the Windows registry and is not subject to change from any outside apllication.

Hello Mike,

have you found a solution to this problem? We're looking for a parameter for the GUI start in the Portal where we can select the design.
