Carrier guide SAP XI with SAP MM

Hi Experts,

I am presently working on SAP XI. I have good idea on java and abap. I would like to learn SAP MM functional module. What would be the carrier with both SAP XI and SAP MM together? I may go for EP, but I don’t like to go for programming side. More over I prefer stable job. Please help me which one is best.

Hi Prasad,

As for my knowledge...

functional will be good when u go up the ladder...even it is same in oracle apps and other ERP technologies...

and coming to XI AND EP...these keep on changing and u should update urself accordingly.......

but XI with MM .....its totally different right....

one is technical and the other is functional.......

as for me...i can say u one thing...

if u are at budding stage go for XI or else MM would be better....

if u still prefer a stable job MM would be better....because functional would be every where and as XI is a tool..it can change...moreover u dont have coding in MM and in XI u have it to some extent...

Hi Deviprasad,

Most important thing is you can just learn SAP's MM module .But if you want to be a good functional consultant you should have domain knowledge of purchasing process or you should have spend some year in purchasing department of any industry.
