CAP Application for Business Process Automation approval form?

My question is, is this only option for replacing the standatd BPA Approval form with a UI5 app, or is this also possible with CAP/Fiori elements?

From my understanding, approval forms can be created with UI5 freestyle only, because an approval form (task UI) requires its own structure and settings, which are different from those used by Fiori elements.
