Cannot Start ABAPTrial NW 7.52 System

Hello!

I have installed the SAP Netweaver 7.52 trial system. Everything worked fine, but suddenly, the system cannot start.

I used the startsap ALL and stopsap ALL commands, but the disp+work dispatcher is grayed out.

I have an openSUSE installation.

Hi,

The root cause is seen in the dev_w0 trace:

M *** ERROR => ThSetGwParam : NiHostToAddr vhcalnplci.dummy.nodomain failed

SAP is configured to use this hostname, and Linux cannot find its IP address (neither in the "/etc/hosts" file nor in a DNS lookup).

Indeed, I added the aforementioned FQDN in the hosts file and it worked!
