Hi experts,
I cannot create workspaces in the DTR. I am running the JDI that came with support pack 6 and have updated my developer studio accordingly.
Whenever I try to create a new workspace under the development component configuration, it fails immediately. This happens both inside the plugin and using the command line tool on Windows 2000.
Has anyone ran into this problem before? Is there a way to do this?
It fails regardless of the location of the workspace selected.
Hi Tomas Lin,
Better forum is Java Devlopment Infrastructure.
Check have you installed correct version of JDI which is compatible with WAS.
can you see DTR,CBS,CMS in http://<server>:50000/devinf
do you have valid client for DTR, if so check do you have Track.
now just login to DTR, just rightclicking in the root node you can create workspaces.
meanwhile lookin to this URL

hope this info helped you!

I had the same problem. I looked in Visual Administrator in the log files. I found some application errors related to the DTR and a reference to SAP Note 774339.
After doing some reasearch I found out that some database indexes were corrupt. I recreated the indexes and the problem was fixed.
