Hi guys,

I have an issue with creating a single file self-installing package in SAP installation server. I've installed an SAP installation server ver. 8.00, updated products to the latest patch level, created installation packages. Now I want to create a single file installer. Reproducing the issue: in the packages tree, right click the package that I want to create a self-installing file from and choose compress package to single-file installer. At the end of process, the process is hang. I've attached the screenshot with this situation.

Additional info: I'm using ver. 8.00 64 bit. If I exclude from the package product ECL Viewer 13.0 64 bit, the self-installing file are created!

From what I can see, this file is a standalone installer that needs to be installed separately.

I tried both 32bit and 64bit and the 32bit package is created with no issues. My guess is that the 64bit ECL is simply too large for the compression to take place.

Jude, but according to SAP Note #3525923 the 32-bit version of package in not compatible with SAP GUI 8.00 64-bit, that we are planning to install.

I believe it's a limitation on the size of the files added to the installation server, which might need to be looked at by our development team. It is under investigation already.
