Hi,

I want to load the query result to a table. then I will use that as a datasource for an infocube. I need this to work every night, but with RSCRM_REPORT I can start the job immediately and that works fine. But I can't schedule it to a later time.

The error is: Error when scheduling the job.

with the error code: RSCRM055.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Yasemin...

Hi,

Please check OSS Note 605208 regarding to RSCRM_REPORT and you can use APD to store query results in a table.

Hi Rasim,

That was very helpful. But I have one more question then. Using APD, is that possible to report on that transactional ODS? Because when I change the type of the ODS to transactional, the other settings such as bex reporting are cleared. Do I have to load to an infocube from this transctional ODS?

Yasemin,

A transactional ODS cannot be directly used for reporting in BW but you can send this data to the standart ODS then prepare report through that ODS.

1-The Transactional ODS contains only once table that is the Active table where as the standard ODS contains Active Data Table, New Data Table and change log.

2-So delta update from transactional ODS to other data target is not possible, however you can use a full update. You can not find “Update ODS data in Data target...” in the menu as for a Standard ODS.

3-When converting a Standard ODS to a transactional one, the update rules and transfer rules will be inactive.

4-Data can be read faster from a transactional ODS than a Standard ODS (no activation).

5-A transactional ODS can not be used for a Query directly; however you can create an InfoSet based on it, in BW 3.5. In BW 7, with the new name “DataStore object for direct update”, it can be used as an InfoProvider for BEx Query.
