Can i make a Init load without transfer and load data since a date

Hi All,

can i make an Init load without transfer of data from an ODS to a Cube, then a repair load since 2008 to 2009 (this is to avoid load all the data since 2002 from the ODS), then a delta load AND this delta load is going to work just loading to my cube since the new data bring tonight?

Hello Jorge,

it seems like its related to other question.

As I havealready mentioned you need do a historical data load from the DSO to the cube for the delta to work.

Juat an init without data transfer is sufficient and it will bring the next delta to the DSO and will push the subsequent delta to the target cube.

Even if you have missed delta request from the source and if you want to do full repair loads then you should use selective deletion to delete the data from the cube if you want to do full repair loads or it will result in duplication.

The selection used for full repair should be exactly same as that used for selective deletion in the cube.

If hyou havent lost any delta then an init wihtout data transfer is sufficient as I said earlier.

Hi,

Reinit will re initalize your delta pointer.once you reinit then you can proceed with your delta loads.
