I have created a 10.0.1 OEM setup with the help of the v10 Deployment Wizard.
Based on these questions to deployed installs and the v12 Deployment Wizard, I have the impression that it would make sense to change the ProductName incorporated in the OEM setup ("SQL Anywhere 10") to something application-specific, like I would have to do with the v12 Deployment Wizard.
Is it valid to change the ProductName in the MSI file to something like "SQL Anywhere 10 for My Application" - using a tool like Microsoft's ORCA? - Or would this offend the usage of the Deployment Wizard?
The deployment wizard would not be offended. 🙂 In version 12 we just made it easier for you to specify the product name without requiring ORCA.
