Hi ,
Can Analysis office workbooks be scheduled if BOE is on UNIX. If possible how can it be achieved.
Thanks,
Vamshi
Hi Mitta
thats not possible, as scheduling is creating XLS Files that is only possible on Windows Servers

Hi Thorsten,
Will this work if we have a mixed-mode clustering? For example, Full BOE is on a Linux Machine and another Windows machine is having a custom installed BOE which is clustered (NOT CMS clustering but more of a extended machine where Adaptive Job server is running on this machine by referencing the CMS of a Linux Machine). Now, we can install the plugin on the windows Machine where custom BOE is installed. Would this scenario work?
Thanks,
Skugan V
Hi Carsten,
The plugin is only available for windows. But we did find a workaround for the customers using BOE on Linux to schedule the AO reports. It's the mixed mode clustering (extended system)
Full BOE is on a Linux Machine and another Windows machine is having a custom installed BOE which is clustered (NOT CMS clustering but more of a extended machine where Adaptive Job server is running on this machine by referencing the CMS of a Linux Machine). Now, we can install the plugin on the windows Machine where custom BOE is installed. Once the plugin is installed, you can follow the regular steps to schedule the reports

Hey Skugan,
can you explain which services you have installed in the extended installation on the new windows system.
What did you mean with NOT CMS clustered. How can i reference one Service to another CMS? I only know the method to configure this in SIA Agent with "ClusterKey".
Best regards
Carsten
Hi Carsten,
Please include all the services of the "Adaptive Job Server" in the extended installation. This is more of a distributed system than CMS Clustering.
you cannot do a CMS clustering in cross - platform (windows-unix). you have to start a separate custom installation in the windows system, and DE-SELECT "Central management Server" and continue with the installation.
