Hello,

In SAC, I am trying to create a calculated measure, but the required components of this measure are not shown within available ones in the drop down list in the Calculation Editor (I want to base the new measure on an existing model). What am I doing wrong?

Thank you and regards

It will be easier to answer if you add little more context to your question.

  • What kind of model is it account based or measure based (new model) ?
  • live connection or import connection?
  • where are you trying to create the calculated measure, In model or story level ?

Make be add a screenshot of what you are trying to do.

I would suggest you to provide a screenshot on how your calculated measure looks like in model.

Thank you both for a prompt reply. I am trying to add a new measure to existing model. However, the option + Create Calculation is not available in the existing model:

no-create-calc.png
But it is available once I create a new story:
create-calc.png
That is why my plan is to create a new measure in a new story, and use it in an existing model (a separate question would be, whether it is possible).
Now about the measure I want to create. There are two calculated measures used in the visual:
measure1-calc.png and measure2-calc.png
I need to create a Measure 3 which is Measure 2 - Measure 1. Example:
measure3-example.png
In the new story, I create a calculated measure from Add -> Tooltip -> Measure, but in the drop down list I do not see Measures 1 and 2 available.

  • What kind of model is it account based or measure based (new model) ? - measure based
  • live connection or import connection? - import
  • where are you trying to create the calculated measure, In model or story level ? - story

Thank you
