Heyya everyone!

Can anyone explain me in simple way what excatly does this 2 restricted and calculated keyfig. means?I tried to create restricted key figure for eg: i created restricted key figure for open orders quantity for the year dec 1999 from sap demo infocube.then i dragged the cal month from the key figure and restricted it to dec 1999.and saved it and run.

But i didn't see any changes??i tried again changing it globally and dragged that restricted key fgure to the columns value saved and run.But it only showed the name of the restricted key figure i created..there was no results.

What excatly does this mean?

any fast help plzz.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It seems, what ever you have done is correct. If you are not getting results, then you have to make sure that whether the cube has the data for the month Dec 1999 or not.

Hi,

In simple terms RKF is used when you want to restrict the selection of the key figure for some particular value of Characteristic, as in your case if you want to see the data for fiscal year 1999 create an RKF with that selection.

CKF is used when you want to perform some computation on the Key figure like (+,-, *, % etc.), for example if you want to add the figures for Sales and Tax you add the two key figures by creating a CKF.

With regard to the data not being fetched in your resport, does the Infocube have you filtered the query based on some Controlling area or some other characteristic also ?

Hope it helps.

Cheers
