Hi
What is the difference between CAF and CAF core?
Hi Krishna,
Meanwhile there is no difference anymore. But before the CE release, we spoke about CAF 7.0 (under NW 2004s) and this CAF 7.0 contained ( or still contains - if you have still a 7.0/2004s version) the guided procedures component for modeling composite processes and the "CAF Service Layer". The "CAF Service Layer" was also named as "CAF Core" to differ it from CAF (which contains/ed also guided procedures).
With SAP NetWeacer CE 7.1 we now speak about Visual Composer (VC), Web Dynpro Java, guided procedures (GP) and CAF (former CAF Service Layer or CAF Core). This CAF (under CE) does not contain GP anymore but only the CAF Service Layer / Core.
Regards,
Jan
