Cache in Portal Logon Page

Former Member

Hi all.....we've set up a way to dynamically place system messages onto our Portal Logon page (messages such as "The system will be down for maintenance, etc,etc...."). I've placed htm files into KM, which then get called into the logon page via an IFRAME. Anyway, I'm not sure how to resolve the caching issue. I don't want (nor is it a good business practice) to require, and expect, everyone to do a CTRL F5, or go into Internet Options to delete cookies, etc. Is there a way that we can automate the clearing of cache, or at least a way of clearing out the cache so all of our users don't have to do it manually themselves?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Steve

Stevan,

You can clear the PRT cache from this location.

System Administration -> Support -> Portal Content Directory -> Pcd Administration

Hope this helps.

Sandeep,

Thanks for the quick reply! So, correct me if I'm wrong, but say for instance at 8AM Monday morning a system message is no longer valid. At this time, or probably a few minutes prior, I'd be able to edit my htm file, and then go out to system admin and refresh the cache, thereby clearing out everyone's cache. Right?

Thanks!
