BW3.5 query

Hi all,

I create vendor evaluation report in bw3.5 for that i use two data sources

omm_pur_ve_01 from that data source i use lifnr ,lebdt,ekorg,gesbu fields for vendor score and another data source is 0vendor_attr from that data source i use name1 ort01for geatting vendor information

Is that possible i featch data from 0vendor_attr on the basis of lifnr from( first data source)

i mean in bex suppose i drag lifnr field and name field and put the range for lifnr and when i execute that then it select all the name from second data source according to lifnr(that field present in first data source)

Not really. You dont have to go that far. Once the loads are done check in the DataTarget How the data is populated. It also depends on Update mode of Data Target whether you need to OverWrite or Add or No Update.

So the Vendor Name does not match with LIFNR. I am wondering why you are doing this. 0Vendor is Master Data InfoObject.So if you just get LIFNR (Vendor Number). It should show the remaining information from Master Data if it is loaded with data.

Hi sriram

There is requirment i found most of the fields from first data source but in that data source there is no fields realated to vendor information thats why i am using 0vendor_attr data source beacause i already use lifnr field from first data source and similar lifnr field also present in 0vendor_attr data source thats why i think that on the basic of lifnr field i featch data from 0vendor_attr and get information about vendor through lifnr

is this possible in bw3.5

First thing tell me where you are loading data. I mean on top of which InfoProvider you are reporting.

Dont you have 0Vendor in your system loaded with data???

i am loding data in cube

i make lifnr a charactics and all remaning fields its att. and assign both data source to same infosource and load data successfully but at bex level i am unable to get vendor informaion data on the basic of lifnr one thing name data shown at bex level

You can do that but how system knows to match Vendor number and name. System does not map. We should map it properly.

now i understand but tell me one thing is there any way for fetching data from different-different data sources on the basis on single field which is present in each data source

or should i create my own data source for full fill my requirement

Yes you can use different Datasources for an InfoSources. If SAP delivering, then why do you want to create new DataSource. If SAP is delivering better not create a DataSouce. Based on your requirment you can enhance it.

Also make sure where you are loading data. Cube or ODS. In ODS we have Overwrite functionality.
