Dear all
how can I achieve in the BW modelling tools that the BW objects are being assigned to a default transport package and not to $TMP, so that the developers are being encouraged to write their changes on transport requests?
The Standard Transport System setting is activated (To activate the standard transport system , select in the function area Transport connection of Administrator Workbench Edit -> Transport -> Activate Standard)
And, if I create an e.g. an ABAP start routine in BW4 (1.0 SP11) the corresponding rule is being saved as local object even if my transformation is assigned to a transport package:
Is this is a bug or a feature with workaround (not the one with manually collecting them afterwards which is annoying)?
Thanks and best regards
Paul
Request clarification before answering.
As I just googled my own question I want to add at least my answer here:
In the meantime at least in BW/4 2.0 and BW/4 2021 we have the default package assignment preference option including the package per space:
The bug that start/endroutines had to be collected separately was also fixed in the meantime...
