Hi Team,
Our client is planning to upgrade BW 7.3 from 7.0.
We have source systems ECC 6.0, SRM 701 and HCM 6.0 connected to the BW.
Do we have to upgrade source systems to some level to support BW 7.3?
Can you please provide me link or details or note that gives minimum release level for the source systems to connect with BW 7.3.
I tried search on varies documents but no luck. Really appreciate your help.
Thanks and Regards
Karth

In technical upgradation project we just do version upgradation, In your scenario you want to know regarding to Source System upgaradation. I will say definataly not require at the moment.

Hi Rajend,
To see source system dependency check following SAP Note: [153967 - BI Content Release Strategy|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/153967]
"PlugIn" and "PlugIn Basis" are downward compatible. It means: e.g. an SAP Application like ERP with a lower PlugIn/PlugIn Basis release can replicate data into a SAP BW Hub Server (Hub = stand alone SAP BW Server) which has a higher PlugIn release AND vice versa - an SAP Application with higher PlugIn/PlugIn Basis release can replicate data into a SAP BW Hub Server which has a lower PlugIn release.
Hi Karth,
If PI_BASIS plug in inside BW and ECC are same then they are compatible. And you should be able to connect those systems.
You can see the compatibility list published on service.sap.com.
