Build Work Zone - Image Widget - Image Resizing

Hello

I am trying to make an image that I have uploaded into the Build Work Zone Image Widget smaller. I would like it thumbnail size, ~100px100p. No matter what I do it always brings in a large image, even when I set the sizing of the .png image size to 100x100 it's still a large distorted image. 

Using a TEXT Widget I can paste the image into the text and have full control over the sizing. This does not work however as the image is not saved and will be removed on a refresh. 

I've searched KB articles, help and the community but I haven't found a clear answer. 

How do I get resizing control over images to make the image smaller? Basically make the image smaller then the column size.

In this case couldn't you just resize the column to get it to the size you want?

No, you can only change the column size by so much, it doesn't let me create a column size small enough to make the image as small as needed.
