I want to use Broadcast Message on a Portal Desktop using the Fiori Framework Page.
After adding the Broadcast Message Framework iView to the Fiori Framework Page, i get an error and the desktop shows a white page.
(Visible: true, Container: Technical Hidden Container)
Does anyone use broadcast message in combination with a Fiori Framework Page?
Any tips on how to configure this?
Regards,
Johannes

Hi Johannes,
In order to use BCM in fiori framework page you must write your own UI or it will not work.
Please see the Blog I have written on how to use the API:

hi Saar Dagan,
Inorder to implement the UI in Fiori framework, we need the broadcast framework to be added to the Fiori framework page. But currently when we add the framework iview, it’s shows blank and in console, cannot find the window.BCM api.
Please suggest on how to get the BCM api on Fiori framework page.
thanks
Anu
Hi Anu,
This means you did not add the deltalink for the broadcast message framework or did not enable the service.
Also note that the sample UI iView is for Ajax framework page, for fiori framework page you have to write your own.
See this blog:
Using the broadcast messaging (BCM) client side API | SAP Blogs
Hi Saar,
thanks for your reply. I did the step 1 and 2. But when I run the desktop page it is blank. When I do the same for Ajax framework, it works fine. This means service is active. I can also find the window.BCM.API in console. And also I see the alerts.
I understand that I will need to develop my own ui, but before that I should add broadcast framework iview to the Fiori framework work page, so that I can get the handle of window.BCM.API.
Please help. The service does good job , just need it to recognised in Fiori framework page.
Thanks
Anu
Please check the framework page, all are standard no customisation just added the broadcastframework page.
