so i have to create a variable with replacement type "User-Specific Values" check "Input Allowed by User" and specify every single user that could use the planning manual?
If you want to restrict the user to a specific set of values which are different for different users then use "User specific values". If you would like the user to be able to Input values other than specified check "Input Allowed by User". If you just want all the users to have a fixed set of values use "Fixed values".
Depending upon what is the flexibility you want the user to have while selecting values, use the appropriate option.
Create a Vairable for that characteristic at the Planning area, you could use the Replacement type and the restriction of values properties to control depending on how you would like to use the variable.
