Hi,
how can we force BPS to present zero records when running a layout or a
planning folder.
I mean: I have created inital records on base of the characteristic selections
in the planning level with:
all KFs = 0.
This should be a starting point for the user to enter new data.
Thanks !
Paul
Hi Cornelia,
I have done this via user exit:
adding new records to XTH_DATA.
I have used an extra KF 2 here which I have given the value 0.01.
This is KF is not part of the layout. !
Means: The record is visible in the cube.
But the layout does not show the 0 result of the used KF 1.

Paul

Hi Paul,
i think this is just the point - the system has probably not written the 0 to the cube, so you should include your dummy key figure to the layout.
Maybe it also works, if you define your dummy key figure as reference data and create a check and proposal with reference data and again let you layout be built up using "all possible combinations".

Hi Paul,
How did you create 0-records in BPS? This was not yet possible. Were you really able to save them as records into the cube? If yes, then they shold be shown in your layout. If not, define the read mode for your layout as "all possible combinations" instead of "posted data". For this option of course you need to have characteristic realations. otherwise the system will combine all data from all char that are included in the lines of your layout.
If this is not possible, let the users create each line individually.
Regards
Cornelia
