Hi,

Have created some reports in webi rich client and trying to schedule these.

The files concerned exist on a newtork share (drive) U.

server also has drive mapped to drive U but when schedule them get message below

The file that is required to refresh the query cannot be found on the file system. File not found: "U:\<filename>.xlsx" (IES 10851)

Tried .xls and .xlls same bahviour - any ideas?

It works when use a unc pathname

Hi All,

Thanks for replies.

Wrks using unc path to same location fine

e.g.

\\server\folder

Not sure why drive letter mapped to same unc path not working?

Can use unc path in meantime.

Thanks

Hi,

You can't use mapped drive (letters) with services.

As effectively it's the Processing and Job Servers running the requests (not a user) it has to be UNC.

This is an OS thing, not BO.

Hi,

Are you OK with the explanations above?  Like I said, it's how networks work.  Mapped drive are only visible to users, not services.

If so, could you please close this post?

Thanks.

Hi

I'm also facing this, but when I changed the source path to \\server\folder, it changes back to the drive letter (I:\).

Anyone an idea?

Thanks!

Hi Philip,

Try the following:

  1. keep the excel file on server machine itself.
  2. Does view on demand work for these webi reports?
  3. While scheduling change the destination to Default enterprise location.
  4. Refresh the document in rich client. Publish it t to enterprise again with a new name.

Please correct me if wrong, webi intelligence will not work from CMC or Launchpad if the data source (when excel/access) is stored on network location.

Have a look, at  1342998 - (Error: WIS 10901) WebIntelligence reports will not run against MS Access database located...

Onkar
