BO designer and other BO clients not working on windows 7

Hii

I am not able to connect to any Oracle database from designer/Deski. When I hit the test button to any database connection I get the below error:

CS: DBDriver failed to load : C:\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\dbd_oci.dll (%1 is not a valid Win32 application.

)

Also I am successfully able to connect to all such databasess using SQL plus or SQL Developer.

My oracle client is 64 bit installed on windows 7 which is also 64 bit

BO client is 32 bit..version is 12.1.0.882

Hi,

Can you confirm that v12.1.0.882 is the XI 3.1 SP01 RTM full build ? (Check: a) Add/Remove programs for exact description, and b) properties > version for busobj.exe)

Windows 7 64-bit edition isn't on the supported platforms for XI 3.1 SP1 Desktop Products http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01200252310000087200&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_O...

You should instead use the SP04 product, as Windows 7 SP1 64-bit is listed : http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01200252310000087200&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_O...

To do this, you should install the SP3 full-build, then patch to SP4 or even SP5

a) SBOP ENTERPRISE CLIENT TOOLS XI 3.1 SP3 WINDOWS (32B)

b) SBOP Enterprise Client Tools XI 3.1 ServicePack 05
