Hi Guys,

I am creating BEx Web Application iView and I am wondering what should I populate under <i><b>BEx Web Application Query String: *</b></i> .

Thanks

Hi Manish,

you need to put the original BEx side query here. Please ask your BI team member to provide the same to you. Please <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/88/3c1640d4642402e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">See Here</a>.

Also you can look into <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/88/3c1640d4642402e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Defining New Queries</a>

Hi,

Shortest and easiest way is... ask the BI consultant to send the full link to the query that he launches from BEx.

u can find the parameters ( check out string after symbol ? ) in the URL

Use these parameters..

Cheers!!

Hello Manish,

you will need either a template id or query in the format below.However there are other ways of doing it as well.Template id is what we use as you can publish reports in a consistent basis.

Web template

template_id=<TEMPLATE_ID>

Query

infocube=<INFOCUBE>&query=<QUERY>

Hope this helps

Hi,

As they said ask Bi team for Query name and server details like IP, system number, system id, client . Then, create system in portal and pass that system alias name while creating Bex iview in portal and give query name. It will works fine. If any pblm, reply immediately..

thanks
