BI 4.2 / Web Intelligence / ORA-12557

Hello,

Since I have restarted the SIA service, I have an issue in the web base web intelligence I received the above error.

When I try to refresh one of my reports through the web base (BI Launch Pad...) it does not work

The following database error occurred: ORA-12557: TNS:protocol adapter not loadable
. For information about this error, please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 2054721 on the SAP Support Portal. (IES 10901) (Error: INF )

But on the server and desktop: I can TNSPING / SQLPLUS the database, the rich client works as expected?

I have restarted the server without success. I have controlled the path to the Oracle Client (despite that it work with the rich client...)

Any idea?

Hi Jean,

I hope this might be the issue, BO Server Tools are a 64bit application, where as IDT or UDT are 32bit applications. So, you'll have to install Oracle 32bit Run time, and paste the tns entries in the tnsnames.ora file the 32bit folder as well. Try that and let us know.

Both client are already installed.

Finally, I have

1. updated to the latest SP (06)
2. changed the order in the Path environment variable (first 32b then 64b)
3. controlled that the tnsnames where the same (there were)
4. restarted the server
5. restarted again tomcat, the server intelligence agent and the www publishing Service. (through CCM)

And it works again...
