BEx variables

I'm have a query and under query properties 'Sequence of entry variables, there is a variable "Period/Fiscal Year (Single Value Entry, Required) (0P_FPER)".

However this variable is not assigned to any InfoObject in the query definition (i.e: 0FISCPER). When the query is run, you get a selection screen. How is this possible?

Hello Raynald,

It is possible that the variable that appears in your selection screen is used by Restricted Key Figures your added into your query. To check, you can look at the right panel of your BEx Designer and see if there are RKFs that uses this variable.

it need not be explicitly be visible in the filter area or free chars .. it might be part of selections in ur structure or part of restricted Key figure.... the variable have to declared some where to show up on the variable screen
