Is it query or workbook ??

Put the characteristic in free characteristic and try executing the qurery in RSRT and let us know if its same in RSRT.

Keep the cursor on the workbook.

In the menu "Go to Local View" of the workbook.

Here move the characteristic to free char.

Execute.

Save the workbook.

Hope this helps.

If we open the query in local view, how it will possible to access Global info objects to add free charactractis list.

It wont get modified at Global level.

The changes you do at global level would not reflect in the workbooks. As it saves the format.

Hence you need to do the changes at local level for these workbooks.

I am sure when you enter in local view you wont find your characteristic in Free chars instead you will find it as first characteristics.

Try it and let us know.

I take it - you have a workbook template

Yes it is correct it will not automatically move in 3.5 to the free char list - you either have to detach the query and rembedd in the format you require or..

insert a new line in the free char list

drag the new object - both cells into the new line

save the workbook

Hi Babu,

How do you want to see your report ?

Once try this way --> 1st drag & Drop your char into Free char in the query designer (put where you want to see) and then execute it . After that you can arrange it by layout options -->general/variables/filters.

Hi ,

Delete "Query properties "Rows in workbook -->move up the newly added Free char and again Insert/put Query properties from layout and save it.
