Bex queries run slower after SP 18 upgrade

We upgraded to 7.5 SP18 and since then our queries have been running much slower. When analyzing in RSRT, it shows that returning the result (query display) in list mode runs fast but any other mode (ABAP, JAVA) makes it very slow. Running a trace on a test query shows a lot of select statements being run even though the query is extremely basic. It only has 1 KF as output. It looks like it's going thru all the CKFs and RKFs on the Multiprovider even though they are not being used.

Any thoughts on this problem? Has anyone faced a similar issue? Thanks!

Please ask your BASIS or DBA team to run system wide stat collection. We had to perform stat connection post update activity. If your DB is oracle and you have access to DB20 you can run it by yourself as well.

Prerequisite : BR Tool is in place and setup properly.

as we are facing the same issue in our system, I would like to implement this note as well. But unfortunately the note is still not published.

Will it be available only by SAP-message?

Hi Frederic,

Yes, we are on the same team. We implemented SAP note 2984737 and that resolved our issue. SAP responded to our ticket with that note. Thank you!
