Bex Broadcaster- report via email

HI ,

I am trying to test the Bex broadcasting functionality executed a query through broadcaster and received the query results as an email.

how to set up the format for the queries to look good.

I tried to use as an independent HTML file.

You will be able to assign a custom template for sending the query o/p as HTML. This can be done in SPRO under the path given below:

SAP Reference IMG ->SAP NetWeaver-> SAP Business Information Warehouse -> Reporting-relevant Settings -> BEx Web-> Determine Standard Web Templates -> Standard Web Template for Query Precalculation.

Dear Deepu,

Am new to SDN site Could you please let me know detail about this Bex Broadcasting. Even i had a look at the SPRO settings earlier but i do not get any information how to goahead.What to give in the below mentioned SPRO path.

Hi Vijay!

its very simple. just go to any of the form and on the top left side you will find a icon for "post new topic" if you click that that will take you to new post and there you can type yopu question. if the radio button below that windo showing to mark it as question is clicked then you can reward points to the answers. then your post will be displayed as a seperate thread with the subject that you have given while creating it.

and for viewing the answers its same as what you did with this post. just click on the topic like you did now.

this is a new feature in BW3.5 and it allows you to distribute ur reports through mail.

Hi!

what exactly do you need on brodcasting issue! if you can access the bex broad casting page in your browser. then you can create the setting eighter on webtemplates or on queries . here you can specify which what authorizations you wish to create the setting and to which mail id you send the mail and what form you need to send the report. after this schedule the settings to be executed.

Hi aswin,

I did all the things but my Question afetr executing a Broadcasting settings it generates an E-mail with Zip file and i hae to open explicitly instead of doing this i want to send a Result view directly to the Outlook or some other.

Is it possible or not??

My theme is if an End user open his outlook only result should be appear instead of Zip files and other stuff is it possible in SAP BW 3.5.
