Beginner question how to set up my service with real customers and real backend systems

Hi colleagues,

I am pretty new to this topic and I would like to understand the general way of doing things in CAP.

I would like to let our customer use a service and the service communicates with the backend of that customer at a later point of time.

So. What information do I need to know/learn that any customer of our product can use the service and the service knows the correct backend of each customer? The backend is hosted by sap. Its cloud systems.
How is this set up?
