does anyone of you know if there are any other options to start a production process from production process designer besides a POD or Automatic Triggers?
If you register the process to the service registry, it will be available as an API and you can call it in principle from anywhere. You can check the endpoint in Manage Service Registry.
Thank you for your answer! Do you also know how I can then start the API in the DM? Is this done in any App in the DM or where can I call it from? Is it for example possible to start the API when a specific Integration Workflow is done?
If you want to start the process based on an integration, I would check the Automatic Triggers app (Business Rules tab). There are some events available when you can start a process, for example Order Created would be triggered when you send an order from ERP to DM. Another way could be to modify the integration artifact in Cloud Integration and trigger the process from there via API. But this would be much more complex and less standard.
