Hi,

Is it possible to authorize the standard Bex transport request ?

All people changes gets stored in it and if somebody by mistake tranports the standard request may create the problem. Is it possible that we can put some authorization on the Release of any such transport request?

Is there any way to do this ?

Thanks , Jeetu

Hi,

Try using the Authorization objects

S_TRANSPRT and S_CTS_ADMI.

Check this,

Hope this helps...

Hi Jeetu,

In the BW deen development systems, there has to be an Opend Bex transport assigned in the transport connection. This is where all the query changes will go & sit by default!. So you should creat a request with a proper description, for example, Bex Open request: DO NOT TRANSPORT!. Whenever a developer changes a query it will be default go & sit in this request. So it is alaways advisable to create your request, assign to the right development package(same as your query), assign it as the default Bex transport in the transport connect(removing the defualt Bex open request) and then start changing your query. Your queries will then go & sit in your particular transport.

You can then assign the defualt Bex transport so that changes done by other developers will not be collected into your request.

This is general procedure followed I think... lets see what other experts have to say.

Jeetu,

I don't think its possible to put Authorization on Transportation requests. In another way, you can put authorization on the Query changes, which will restrict the user any unwanted modifications.

Or you can inform users who may change the query to collect them in one request.
