Attributes of Infoobject 0Material (DTP Problem)

Hello Experts,

I have an issue with a DTP thats loads the attributes of the Master Data 0Material.

The DTP fails and I am getting this error:

Diagnosis:

Data record 18 & with the key '000000000000000122 &' is invalid in value

'PPP:XYXY/PA_MP3*777+3.76&-98#88 &' of the attribute/characteristic

0MANU_MATNR &.

System Response:

The system has recognized that the value mentioned above is invalid, and

has processed this general error message. A subsequent message may give

you more information on the error. This message refers to the same

value, even though it does not state this explicitly.

This error is due to a modification in R/3, in fact we must use some special characters.

This special characters are accepted in R/3 but not in the BW, and i must load this special char in BW (no conversion)

The field MATNR (R/3) and 0Material (BW) have the same properties Char 18.

Do you have any ideas to fix this issue? Someone already met this error?

Thanks.

Amine

PS: I thought to implement a converion routine in the Infoobject properties (General tab), but as i explained, we have the constraint to keep the value in its origin form.

Try to maintain ALL_CAPITALS in RSKC

Refer the below thread. It might be helpful for you.

Hello Amine

In DTP , activate error handling. Chose valid Records Update, No Reporting ( Req RED)

This will send all your erroneous data to Errot Stack. You need to correct invalid character and once corrected you can create an Error DTP and send records to InfoObject. Once error DTP is successful make the red request in InfoObject attribute green.

Thanks Anindya,

But as i explained in my request, i must keep the complet format, no manual action is autorized!

Anyways, many thx for your help.

Hi Amine,

Definitely your record has special characters which are not accepting by BI system.

Please maintain "update valid records, reporting not possible" option, so that you can check the error records in error stack.

After you run the DTP with this option, once your data load fails check error stack (record 18).

try to modify your data in R3 system or add special characters into BI system using RSKC.

Venkatesh
