Assign Infosource to new Datasource from different Source system

Hi Gurus,

We are using BW 3.5. Source system. Can i asign existing Infosouce to a new datasource from a different souce system.

right click on the infosource, select assign datasource, now select the source system by pressing F4, it will now give the list of data sources available from that source system, select the one which you want, it will take you to the transfer rules screen.. you have to map infoobjects accordingly and activate...

now you can create infopackage on the datasource and start moving data..

Yes you can ,make sure while replication of that datasource what nature you want ,3.x or NEW.

you can also assign datamart (8 * datasource )in same fashion.
