Good morning to all,

We are currently integrating Ariba supplier-lifecycle-management with an SAP ECC EHP8.

We need the data of the suppliers and their flow to be replicated. We had reviewed the integration through Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) but we don't know if it works through vendors (XK01, XK02, XK03) because we don't work with Business Partners. We have check the configuration guide but the information is confusing.

Thank you.

Regards,

Diego

Hi Diego.

According to CIG documentation, the use of BP is mandatory.

Please pay attention to the SAP products version supported.

Hi Camilo,

in CIG configuration guide there is no reference to such information. Could you please clarify exactly where there is the clear reference that you refer in accordance with CIG documentation? According to CIG configuration Guide latest version (2008_SP 0010) there is only a reference at page 153 (8.5.1.1 MDG business functions for supplier data integration) where there is only this sentence:

For the outbound integration between SAP ERP and SAP Ariba Supplier Management solutions that use the unified vendor model, you must activate the following business functions:

● CA_BP_SOA

● CA_SUPPLIER_SOA

● DRF_FOUNDATION

According to this sentence, I understood that:

1) SAP ERP refers to both scenario in which Business Partner are in use or not (not present any revert to this sentence in CIG Configuration Guide Manual)

2) specification for the Business Function are needed ONLY if we need to set up a bi-directional flow between Ariba SLP and SAP ERP. If we need to send only Suppliers from Ariba SLP to SAP ERP, then BF are not needed.

are those to statement correct? Please let me know you kind feedback here.

Thanks

Roberto
