Hi,
We are performing the archiving for the table "DBTABLOG" quarterly. [Archiving object : BC_DBLOGS].
We do have the archive infostructure (Z_INFDBTAB) created for this archiving object. Assigned a structure table ZDBLGBC1 and activated the infostructure.
Till now, we have performed around 8 successful archiving sessions. However, after every archiving session, the archive infostructure is automatically getting filled.
Though the table entries are removed from the table 'DBTABLOG', the table 'ZDBLGBC1' is growing up!!
Do we need to delete the structure after every archiving session? (so that the structures can be filled 'on demand'). Please advise.
Regards,
John.
Hi John,
You are correct, Infostructure should be filled on demand, in order to check the ZARIX*** table size growth of this infostrucutre.
There will be no issues in fill the structure with the required archive session as and when it is required.
-Thanks,
Ajay
