Hi Ajimon;

  You need to specify that you are using Unicode characters in your columns. Normally, most DBMS specify this as data type NvarChar or NChar. In MySQL though, you would use either:

VARCHAR(n) CHARSET utf8

or

VARCHAR(n) CHARSET ucs2

PS: the default character set if you don't specify it is ANSI. Thus, no Arabic support as you need the "extended" character set.

Hi Ajimon;

  If you chose the USC2 option I would not be surprised that viewing the data with other non Unicode compliant tools would be an issue. If you chose the UTF-8 option then characters should display OK in other SQL tools that are compliant to that universal character set. The other issue is if the SQL tool ou are using knows how to handle nVarChar like PB does.

Is this an issue only when using other SQL tools for say like direct reporting vs using PB's DataWindow?

What do you mean with "Arabic decription"? Do you want to store Arabic data in the database?

What character set do you use in the database? ( http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6859018/save-data-in-arabic-in-mysql-database )
