Applying new license file for existing installation

Hi experts,

I have installed Sybase ASE 15.7 SP110 Developer Edition (DE) on a VM running RHEL 6.2 for x86_64. Now my company purchased a license for Enterprise Edition and my manager sent me a license file (*.lic). Now I'm wondering if I can apply this new license on my existing installation. If yes, could someone point me to the detailed steps to do that?

I tried to place the license file (*.lic) into /ase/sybase/15-7/SYSAM-2_0/licenses directory on this VM, but when I restarted the ASE instance, it has following lines in its error log:

00:0000:00000:00000:2014/06/10 00:17:03.15 kernel  SySAM: FLEXnet Licensing error:-9,57.  System Error: 19 "(null)"

00:0000:00000:00000:2014/06/10 00:17:03.15 kernel  SySAM: For further information, refer to the Sybase Software Asset Management website at http://www.sybase.com/sysam

00:0000:00000:00000:2014/06/10 00:17:03.15 kernel  Error: 131274, Severity: 17, State: 1

00:0000:00000:00000:2014/06/10 00:17:03.15 kernel  SySAM: WARNING: ASE will shutdown on Wed 09 Jul 2014 10:55:36 PM PDT, unless a suitable ASE_CORE license is obtained before that date.

Then I ran the "lmutil" tool to determine the host id, but I got following result:

/ase/sybase/15-7/SYSAM-2_0/bin-> ./lmutil lmhostid

lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2007 Macrovision Europe Ltd. and/or Macrovision Corporation. All Rights Reserved.

The FLEXnet host ID of this machine is ""

So it seems the tool returns null for host id, how could I fix this?
