whlie doing the flatfile extraction is is necessary to create the Application component in the data sources?
whats the purpose of separated with separator?

Application component is to logically group your data sources / info sources. Nothing ore than that.

Application component is only for identification purpose, once u want to go for checking u can esily find the path using application component but its not a mandatory.
