I am getting the following error when connecting to the HANA server after creating an Instance of the Solution "Instance of SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition - Fully Activated".

The Appliance Agent detected an error and terminated.

When asked, please provide the file /tmp/applianceagent_20151112-175925.tar.bz2.

Note that a restrictive iptables based firewall is still active.

I have downloaded the log files and the following is present in the applianceagent.log.

Finished 'LVM file generation' (18) successfully at Thu Nov 12 17:59:25 UTC 2015 in 0 sec.

starting logcollector since 'FINAL_HOOK' failed  Execute /tmp/applianceagent/scripts/logcollector.sh

Also the following is in the appliancedeploy.log.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

I am running it on AWS and the BI and front end servers seem to configure themselves correctly.

I have terminated the instance and redeployed with the same result.

Hello,

Could you send the 3 'appliance*' log files from /var/log to our cal.admin <at> sap.com mail box so that we can analyze the root cause?

Have you tried to re-create the instance? Eg. is it on-time problem or is it reproducible?

Best Regards,

Ventsislav

I have sent the log files.  I have tried to recreate the instance (by terminating the instance then creating a new instance), but get the same result.
