hello
I know the difference between the two intrastrutture and technologies, but what are the positive and negative factors of the two solutions?
In the end, both are portable across all phones and tablets. I can immediately use the Powerbuilder application Surface, Samsung Notes, Ipad

Appeon Negatives:
- Appeon requires lot more restructuring of code vs RDS. Will take much more development efforts
- Only works on Internet Explorer on Microsoft Windows. Requires ActiveX Download - it is a fat client
- .NET applications that work with PB app may not work
RDS Pros:
- Proven Microsoft technology - has failover, loadbalancing etc
- Less time to market - no appeon licensing required
- Works on any operating system

Hi Gimmy;
Appeon is going to give you (over RDT) off the top of my head ...
1) Object Instance pooling
2) DB Connection caching
3) Logging
4) Scalability
5) fail over
6) Load balancing
7) Low level device control (GPS, Camera, Multimedia, etc)
😎 local DB support on the device
9) Can operate without a connection (Appeon Mobile 1,5 or higher)
10) small memory foot print / session
11) multi-threading
12) full 64 bit server side support
13) no PBVM required
Regards ... Chris
