Following up on an old post here, I think it would be useful to be able to offer a bounty immediately on asking a question rather than having to wait two days.
(It would also avoid the need for Volker to have to get in to deep metaphysical discussions with himself - see the old post for the gory details!!)
Request clarification before answering.

Please note that this forum (sqlanywhere-forum.sap.com) does not support bounties at all, so waiting two days is a moot point at the moment. The original post was regarding the way that bounties worked on StackExchange.
If there is enough interest in bounties we could consider it ... but at this time there are no plans to implement bounties on this forum.
