Hi all,
We have a requirement wherein we want to have alerts available in EP.
If I define some alerts in R/3 or CRM say on Order confirmation or so how will I get the alerts in the Enterprise portal.
What all things need to be configured to get them.
Pointers will be highly appreciated.

They only way I can think of is using the UWL (universal worklist) but that asumes you're are using workflow in your back-end systems for managing those alerts. I'm not that familiar with workflow though.

Actually workflow and Alerts are two different sources for items to UWL.
In order to get Alerts from SAP Alerts LifeCycle Management System (ALM) displayed in the Enterprise portal, all you need to do is to make an entry for the Alert System in the System landscape and configure UWL to use this System Alias.
Refer to UWL Administration documentation for further details.
