how to categorize alerts based on criticality...with ALRTCATDEF
when we get a mail regarding alert,it whould say its criticality.....so that we need to take action based on the priority...
any ideas...

1)Alerts can be used to prevent delays in the processing of critical situations, because the time between discovering and responding to such situations is reduced considerably.

2) while defining your Alert Catgory , you have can actually set the Priority as High , Low, medium.

In ALRTCATDEF, we can only define the alert category, some variables and the shorr/long text descritpion. We can not specify the criticality to the user in the description.

There are nothing out of the box available for such requirement. Only possibility that I could see is define different Alert Categories(For each criticality level) and then raise alerts according to your criticalities. Put the Criticality as static text in your alert classifications. Raise these as needed in the BPM. I do not think you can raise these based on actual error crititcality directly in AE or IE.
