Aggregates?

Hi ,

1) I deleted some requests in Infocube. Those requests already rolled up to Aggregates.

How can I see that reflects the aggregates without deleting and rebuilding it .is there any way to do this?

Thank you,

Sindu

Hi Sindu,

Ther is no need to delete the aggregates after you delete requests from the cube. Just deactivate the aggregates and activate them so that the aggregates would have the latest data that exists in the cube.

Sindhu,

When you delete requests from an InfoCube, they are automatically deleted form the aggregates also. If the system did not do that on its won and the user forgot - then it would lead to inconsistent results.

If the aggregates are compressed, then on deleting reqeusts from an InfoCube, then they are re-built from scratch automatically.

You should not have to do anything. A simple way to check would to execute a query that uses an aggregate. Switch off the aggregate and then execute again - result should be the same. You can do this in RSRT also without switching off the aggregate.
