Agent determination problem

Hi all,

I am currently working on workflow for travel request which includes escalation.When deadline is reached it should go to the superior of the first approver.

Any one pls help me to find out superior of the first approver

If the org structure is configured correctly, you can use rule 168.

but what will be the input to the rule in the 2nd case ie superior of the 1st approver

You give the user-id of the first approver and it will give you the superior provided the organizational structure is set up correctly.

When rule 168 is executing both user id and personnel numnber is returned.

How peronnel number is deleted from the list?

Actually scenario is like this:

There are 2 branches in a fork:first send task to the 1st approver( ie just superior of the employee).If deadline is missed then the task in the 2nd branch will get executed.The 2nd task will be sent to the superior of the 1st approver.

1st approver can be found using rule 168 and is returning result in an internal table which includes the approver's personnel number & userid

How to find the superior of the 1st approver if he missed it.

I don't think you need to remove the pernr. Just test it in your workflow.
