Hi all!
I’ve used the last 2-3 years learning swift and the iOS and SAP’s BTP framework, and I just love it! Coming from ABAP, innovating in swift is something I would love to do for many years to come!
I currently work as a senior consultant/developer in an SAP consulting company. We’re around 170 employees and our customers are mainly in retail.
The issue I’m facing is that even though I can think of a dozen apps to create for our customers, they all seem very reluctant to start building mobile apps. I don’t yet know what the main reasons are. It could be that they want to use a PC and need that for other tasks, or that they don’t want to rely only on Apple HW because of BYOD policies etc. What I do know is that the user friendliness is far better than a UI5 Fiori app.
So - what is your experience? Have you built many apps? Are the BTP iOS SDK a success? And how do you drive this innovation in your company or towards your customers?
