I would like to know if there is a way to know the optimal number of server processes to have on an instance, and if there is a detailed documentation on what to do when adding a server process.

Thank you for the quick reply. I had already visit this link but it does not give a lot of additionnal information. Is adding a server process as simple as described ? Aren't there any things to check or parameters to change in addition to this procedure ?

Hi,
Did you add additional resource (memory/CPU) since last installation of SAPXI if not then do not add new server process because installer already configure optimum number of process based on your available h/w resource.
Adding new server process could lead to slow performance.
