Adding new property attributes

Hi,

Is it possible to add our own property attributes to a pcd object through the Content Administration? eg. I want to flag a workset with a attribute which i can use at runtime.

This is possible if I create the object through XML but is it possible to do it through the Content Administration?

For creating your own property to a pcd object you need to add component profile in the xml file.

<component-profile>

<property name="flag" value="true"/>

</component-profile>

This value can be accessed in the code using

flag = profile.getProperty("flag");

Also in the PCD we can give values at the time of creation.

Hi George,

Please note that I am not talking about Components, I an refering to pcd objects viz. roles, workets, pages, iviews.

I dont want to create the objects using XML. I want to do it using the Content Admin. Can I add property attributes then? The object get created using the wizard and it doesn't give an option to add new attributes. Its there some other way where I can do this?
