Adding button in Options menu of ABAP launchpad

Hi,

I would like to implement a button in Options menu of Launchpad after user preferences.

My Netweaver version is 7.40 SPS18. I tried to follow this link but I am not sure where the code needs to be written.

Also does Shell plugin to add footer work with SAP NW 7.40?

Extending fiori launchpad is quite easy but you may not be able to acheive you exact requirement, but u will get a near solution. refer to the documentation below. you can be able to extend using the webide.

Hi,

I tried creating shell plugin but it does not work on launchpad. The version we have is SAP NW 7.40 and I think this shell plugin works on above NW 7.51.

Do you have any idea on this?

IF shell plugin can work on our version then we can have that approach also.

Just check if any notes is released by SAP. If innworst case, you might have to create a custom launchpad and by copying the original, which I wouldn't recommend as it might break future upgrades..
